Just as the Clash Royale community complained about the game degrading its quality each day, the developers rolled out a historical update on 31 March 2025, leading to mass dissatisfaction in the Clash Royale Universe. A. Chest Removals

Clash Royale has retired the treasury of gold, gems, and cards - chests - from the game. Chests are no longer winnable through battles, but stay purchasable through the store in exchange for gems (sometimes cash).

Then, the probability to upgrade a one-star lucky drop to a five-star lucky drop reduced to 25%. However, this is a statistical measure. Clash Royale's underlying algorithm makes it even worse.
